A Kingdom for Kids

Last weekend, we met Tara, Jason, Mia, Kayla, and their GiGi and Gramps at Dutch Wonderland for the day. Neither Daddy nor Mommy had ever been there before, so we didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was an awesome day!

When we first got there, we went to see the "Frog Show", which was a water show that involved men dressed up like frogs jumping off incredibly high diving boards into the water. It also included a prince and a princess. Though Reese loves princesses, she was not a fan of the show. She immediately started crying and asking to go home. Reese later told us she didn't like the frogs because they "were scary" and they "splashed us" but she did like the princess in the show. She said the princess was "up high and she was talking" (she repeated this story to us over and over).

Once Reese and Mia started going on the rides though, she had an absolute blast with her little buddy. We had a one little mishap; when we took the kiddos to the Duke's Lagoon, Mommy's camera got soaked with water and we had to let it dry out for the rest of the day. Overall, it was a great day with great friends.

Precious little Kayla was so well behaved!

Reese was so sleepy just an hour or so into the day. We were not sure how she was going to do, considering the fact that we were skipping her nap.

As soon as we stepped foot into the water park, Duke's Lagoon, she was back in the game. She LOVED this part of the park.

Reese is trying to convince Mia to go down the water slide.
"Come on, Mia! It's fun!"
The water slide was her favorite part of the water park.
Reese is drenching Mia's daddy with the water hose! She thought this was so funny!

This was the picture that put my camera out of commission for the rest of the day. It came out cool though!

The rest of the pictures are courtesy of Tara's camera. Thanks, T!
